Getting To Know Each Other

We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Living River Chapel a great one!

What if I'm not used to church?

You are the reason we started Living River Chapel!

Our Sunday Gatherings are a place for people who are curious about God but have never felt comfortable in a church setting; a place where you can learn, apply, and wrestle with who God is and how He relates to you. We are committed to being relevant to all people, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.

What to Expect

How Long Is A Living River Service?

In total, a Living River Chapel service is about 75 minutes in length. Services begin with the LRC Sutton worship team leading the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of the service is complete, one of our pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus. Through practical messages, powerful music, and creative media, we present the truths of the Bible in a way that is easy to understand and apply to your life, even if you've never been part of a church before. There is no dress code, so dress comfortably. Our pastors usually wear jeans, if that helps. Free coffee will be provided in case you need a boost.

We believe that kids and youth should have a blast at church every single week - and at Kids Zone and Clay Vessels, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Kids Zone is offered at every Living River Chapel for kids ages infant through Grade 5 and Clay Vessels is offered for the youth grade 6 through grade 12.

KidsZone

But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." – Matthew 19:14

Kids Zone exists to teach children what the Bible has to say to them and how to apply it to their lives in a fun and loving atmosphere. We teach them about prayer, bible study, worship and sharing the Gospel. We believe children have an important role in the church and we strive to help them grow in that role.

Clay Vessels

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves" — 2 Corinthians 4:7

Clay Vessels exists to guide teens to worship God, to grow as Christ Followers, and to make an impact for God in their community. We also teach teens to help lead the younger generation in their Christian walk. We show how Scripture still speaks to the issues that face our teens today.

What Is The Experience Like at Living River Chapel?

We exist to Worship God, Grow Christ Followers and Serve our Community. Living River Chapel recognizes and replicates the two greatest commandments:
To Love God and Love Others.

We talk a lot about "Loving God and Loving Others" at Living River Chapel. This is simply how we categorize 3 elements for how a person lives in order to be continually transformed by Jesus.

Our Mission

SEE Jesus: As we interact with the people in our community we want them to have a true encounter with Jesus. We want them to see the love and grace that He has demonstrated to us be radiated through us. We want our community to See Jesus through us as we demonstrate the Love that Jesus has shown us through our local events and service opportunities.

CHANGED BY Jesus: As a response to the Love Christ has shown us we recognize a need for a Savior. A person must admit to God that he/she is a sinner. They must be sorry for her sin and turn away from sinning. A person must believe that Jesus is God's Son and that God sent Jesus to pay the penalty for sin. And a person must confess their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

FOLLOW Jesus: To truly follow Christ means He has become everything to us. Everyone follows something: friends, popular culture, family, selfish desires, or God. We can only follow one thing at a time. God states we are to have no other gods before Him. To truly follow Christ means we do not follow anything else. There is no such thing as a "halfway disciple." As the disciples demonstrated, no one can follow Christ by the strength of his own willpower.

Our Vision

Our desire is to reach people who are far from Jesus and the church, and to see their lives transformed by Jesus. So we are committed to be a church that unchurched people love to be part of.
